The Rail Trail has 52 km of trails that runs through Lake Country and other neighbouring communities. Whether you want simply to be surrounded by natural beauty, or hope to see nature in action. Perfect for families, the trail is low-grade, therefore accessible for walking, cycling or jogging, for all ages and abilities.

Hiking and Walking Trails

Bike Rentals
Don’t have room to bring a bike but would like to go for a ride? No problem you can rent a bike to take advantage of the gorgeous trails – Lake Country has two bike rental companies that will gladly get you set up. Pedego & Lake Country Cycle.

Kayak and Paddleboard Rentals
Thinking of doing a beach day? Rent a kayak or paddle board. Not only will you get exercise, but you can explore the area by water.

Boat Launches
Looking to launch watercraft? Kalamalka Lake, Wood Lake and Okanagan Lake all have launches to meet your needs for both motorized and non motorized watercraft.

Creekside Theatre & Live In Lake Country
Live In Lake Country is a Lake Country tradition that takes place July and August at Swalwell Park. Bring a lawn char and blanket and enjoy local performances under the Okanagan night sky.

ArtWalk
ArtWalk is a jam-packed weekend of arts and entertainment held the second weekend in September, held annually since 1994. ArtWalk is the largest celebration of BC artists in the interior. A two-day festival that showcases more than 300 Okanagan visual and performing artists and 3,000 original works of art plus hands-on children’s activities, live artist demonstrations and workshops.

Lake Country Museum & Archives will tell the story of Lake Country’s region, while providing an opportunity to learn through research, education and collaboration. Be sure to check the calendar of events for interesting sessions or drop by and visit the museum located across the street from Okanagan lake in Okanagan Centre.

Stop by the Art Gallery to see the latest exhibitions. The gallery offers programs for everyone and provides space to artist in varied artistic practices.
